Take Inventory: Curate a Closet You Love

Feeling like you have a closet full of clothes, but don't like any of them?

Been there, done that, and honestly some days.. I am still there. Curating a closet you love is truly an ongoing process of replacing, refilling, and revamping.

In this current season, I am five months postpartum and I just got ONE pair of pants that I owned pre-pregnancy to button last week. By buttoning, I mean that I was sucking in, shifting my insides around, and doing quite the dance to get them on. No exaggeration- sadly.

So here is the deal, our bodies change as do the seasons and styles. However, I still have those same pieces that I reach for and feel good in. I wore these pieces before, during, and after baby!

What are those pieces for you? How do you get your closet to that place where you really love what is in it?

You have to start here- AGGRESSIVE PURGING.

Here me out, if you touch a piece in your closet and have something negative to say about it, GOODBYE. Love each and every piece you have in your closet and add to it. It truly will make all the difference.

Throughout this blog, we will talk about HOW to build a closet that you love, but we need to start with a great foundation. We do not want to just pour grease on a dumpster fire. Instead, let's till up some fresh ground to work with.

ACTION: Take inventory of your closet today. Touch each and every piece, hold it in your hands, try it on. If you don't love it, see ya later. Then, wait a week and DO IT AGAIN. Then, wait a month and DO IT AGAIN. Each time you go back you will notice that despite some of the reasons you talked yourself into keeping something, you still have not touched it as time passed.

Let's create closets we love and feel good in!
