I have made TWO trips to Waco within the past three years.

Like millions of other people, I have been a fan girl of Joanna Gains ever since the very first episode of Fixer Upper aired in 2013. Seriously, I was hooked! I couldn't get over the transformations these houses went through. Joanna could go into an ugly, worn down, unwanted house and have the eyes to see the potential that it had. She could envision walls torn down, rooms completely restructured, and beautiful French doors in places that I never could. I have always been so fascinated by the process that she would undergo for each project. Joanna has the eyes to see the transformation that is right in the midst of her, even when others don't.
I have always had the same fascination with people and with their testimonies. God does some of His best work when He transforms our hearts and lives when we encounter His goodness and choose to live for Him fully. I love to hear where people have been and what they've walked through and all the beautiful and intricate details that went into the work that God did when He shaped and molded their hearts. Even when the ugliness of sin is raging, when we are worn down by the things of this world, especially when we feel unwanted, God has the eyes to see the transformation that is right in the midst of us, even when others don't.
"So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image." 2 Corinthians 3:18
In the photo that I have attached to this blog you will see two beautiful faces! I am so excited to introduce you to Tammie and Monte Jo. They are best friends who partner in ministry together and are some of the faithful founders of Kingdom Seed Ministries located in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. They have such a big heart for people and for their community and one way that they invest into each of those things is by hosting a Women's Conference every January. This year is a little different for health and safety purposes, but they won't let that stop them from hosting this event! They are hosting a virtual conference beginning on January 25th and they want YOU to tune in and hang out with them! Every night that week they will host a Watch Party on Facebook for about an hour and they will provide us with an encouraging word and nuggets of wisdom that you won't want to miss.
Their theme this year is "Transformed" and they will be digging into the passage from 2 Corinthians 3:18 as they walk us through this study!
